 The Healing Hero Project began with a simple but powerful mission: to pair rescue dogs with veterans and service families in need of healing, connection, and support. What started as an effort to save lives on both ends of the leash quickly blossomed into a broader vision of holistic recovery—grounded in nature, purpose, and community.

 While our commitment to pairing rescue dogs with veterans remains close to our hearts, our mission is growing. As we expand into Camp Recon, we’re creating a space where veterans engage in regenerative land work, holistic wellness, and community support—honoring the bond with animals while embracing the full spectrum of healing.

 The Healing Hero Project is growing into Camp Recon—a sanctuary where veterans reconnect with purpose, land, and self. Through regenerative landscapes, trauma-informed wellness, rescue animals, and community, we’re redefining healing. This is more than recovery—it’s rooted restoration.
